Matilda Duffecy

After long, drawn-out studies in journalism, art history and cultural studies I started a month-long internship at an interiors magazine. What started a two days per week for one month, extended into a full-time, six-month stint while working at a pub at night, which then turned into a real job. Fast forward four years, including a year or so at a food magazine, and I was back to the same magazine I started at, though writing for the print and digital incarnations of the brand while also managing the 1.6million+ social media following, too. All the while having a ball!

Who would play you in a film and why? Emma Thompson – slightly mad and loves to laugh.

If you were planning a music festival, who – dead or alive – would be your headliner? Kele from Bloc Party – tunes and banter on point.

You're given an airplane ticket to anywhere in the world – where do you choose to go (and why)? See next question.

What's your favourite memory? Stomping grapes in the Le Marche region of Italy with a huge group of amazing friends, followed by a very, very long lunch.

Who is your inspiration? Gosh, too many to list. Friends and family, passing acquaintances, fictional characters, artists, writers, designers, visionaries, colleagues, hardworkers and humble, funny, kind, passionate, patient and courageous people (not all at once).

You're on a desert island – what album have you brought with you? I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen. But can I switch 'Jazz Police' for 'Dance Me To The End Of Love'?

What would be your death-row dinner? Traditional Italian pasta, please – cacio e pepe, amatriciana or tortellini en brodo will do and throw in some wine, too.

Why Edge?
Because I want to be part of something dynamic, fresh and exciting with people who love what they do but are always looking to do it better.
