We’re looking for a content editor that can own our newly acquired client, Weight Watchers. You must be just as experienced in publishing and magazine editing as you are in social media, digital content and video. Your ideas must integrate across all content channels.
You’ll be helping to create a content calendar and strategy on a quarterly basis that informs this client’s multichannel content and moves Weight Watchers from being magazine first to being digital content first. The key will be in the planning!
In addition to being multi-skilled, you’ll demonstrate good judgement and strong project management skills. You’ll have first-class communication skills, be detail oriented, innovative, motivated, self-directed, and eager to deliver top-notch content. On top of which, you’ll be creative and overflowing with ideas.
The ideal candidate will easily work with creatives, strategists, producers and clients. You’ll be fun to have around, but equally hard working. Sound like you?
· An interest in healthy lifestyle, nutrition, food, health, fitness, etc.
· Bachelor’s degree in writing, communication, journalism or related field
· 5+ years’ experience in magazine/book publishing and editing
· 2+ years’ experience ideating and producing digital/social content in all formats (blog, posts, video, infographics, etc)
· Proficient using InDesign
· Strong creative and conceptual thinker
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
· Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
· Ability to work across multiple teams
· Personal initiative, flexibility, intellectual curiosity
